Admissions 20202
Term times

On Tuesday 12th September, Year 1 and Year 2 children at Heronswood Primary School immersed themselves in a day of activities relating to their new topic – Meet the Medievals.

Children came into school dressed in a variety of costumes from knights to dragons and from princesses to maids. There were lots of fantastic outfits which had clearly been carefully thought about ready for the occasion.

During the day the children learnt a typical medieval dance. It was fantastic to see all the children in the hall working together in pairs to replicate the movements whilst having plenty of fun too.

The children also took part in an art activity which saw them designing a shield using only two colours.  Each child’s individual shield was then added to a section of a much larger shield which incorporated all four classes. The final touch to this was the Heronswood Heron.

All staff agreed that this was a fantastic way to start the topic and that the children had an amazing day taking part in all the activities.

Thank you to all our parents who helped make the day extra special by providing all the fantastic costumes.
