Admissions 20202
Term times

During our October half term the children from Heronswood Primary School were set a very unusual challenge.  For the first time ever, the children from Reception up to Year 6 were asked to participate in a Scarecrow making competition.

On the first day back at school, the children along with their amazing creations arrived in a frenzy of excitement as the scarecrows took pride of place on the school field.  We had mermaids, superheroes, Minions, Minnie Mouse, Sponge Bob Square Pants and even The Stig.

The toughest part was judging the scarecrows as so much time and effort had been put into every design, along with lots of imagination and creativity.  Finally, after much deliberation we were able to allocate 1st place to Dylan in Year 2, 2nd place to Bailey from Year 6 and 3rd place to Zara in Reception.

We were delighted by the number of children and families who participated in this competition.  Congratulations to our winners and a big thank you to all our families who took part in this fantastic competition.  Look out for more exciting competitions in the future.
