The children from Heronswood Primary School enjoyed a frightening experience as they participated in this year’s Halloween Party, which was held on the school field and in our Forest School area.  In total about 80 children came along to join in with the fun.

As the flames flickered from the camp fire and the children sipped their hot chocolates, our Year 6 children delighted everyone with stories and tales which caused your hair to stand on end!  Once everyone had toasted their marshmallow on the fire children split off into groups.

The groups of children tried apple bobbing, they mixed disgusting recipes in caldrons, they created their own scary stories, they had a go at pumpkin carving and they played games like Wink Murder on the field.

Before the party finished there was just time to judge the best pumpkin and best children’s costume.  The children were very creative in their designs and they had gone to a lot of effort with their parents to show off their skills.  Best pumpkin was awarded to Marty and Katie and best costume went to Taija and Clayton.
