Admissions 20202
Term times

The children at Heronswood Primary school thoroughly enjoyed experiencing the solar eclipse on Friday 20th March.

The whole school were ready and waiting at 9:10am.  All the children were seated on the playground facing away from the sun, ready to notice changes in light, shadows, noise and temperature around them.

The oldest children, in Year 5 and Year 6 used data loggers to track the changes in light and temperature during the eclipse.  The children have been using the data loggers all week as part of our Science Week and were very proficient at taking their recordings at set intervals.

Data captured during the eclipse is now being analysed and comparisons between light and temperature are being made by our budding scientists.  We are expecting an update shortly …
