The Year One classes at Heronswood Primary School and Pre-School in Spennells were visited by a few troublesome dragons earlier this week, who played havoc with the classroom set up and chased teachers down the corridor!

Fresh out of the pages of “The Dragon Machine” by Helen Ward, the dragons left a mess from their snacks and even upturned chairs in the 1LJ classroom.

However, this inspired the brave children to think about the antics dragons get up to in their spare time, resulting in some impressive creative writing pieces.

The children are continuing to enjoy a variety of other inspiring dragon stories to fire up their imaginations!

The dragons are currently at large, so keep your eyes open in case you spot one of them!

Mrs Pierpoint, Head Teacher said, “We love to inspire, engage and enthuse our children, immersing them in their learning, enabling their creative and imaginative minds to ignite.”
