Children from Worcestershire Schools demonstrated how Dance, Drama and Music have inspired their learning!

The theme of the showcase was for children to demonstrate how their learning has progressed and how they have been inspired through Music, Dance and Drama across the curriculum. Schools across Worcestershire within the teaching alliance partnership were invited to participate. The event was a huge success: over 60 children presented with fantastic performances and just under 100 audience members (parents, grandparents, family members )

Sandra Jennings (Head of the teaching school) explains ‘The teaching alliance collaborates in many ways with lots of opportunities for our teachers, trainee teachers and all staff to network with colleagues, de-velop professionally and share best practice. Here at The Rivers Academy Trust, we believe that the chil-dren should have access to these experiences too. The children had the opportunity to meet peers from other schools and share their experiences. They were confident in their performances and extremely proud to be showcasing how they enjoy their learning. Parents, staff and children from the diverse range of schools have already commented on what an amazing afternoon and experience it was and have asked us to host another event next year. We were entertained with acting, poetry, cornet and ukelele perfor-mances, dance, potential news reporters and song. Everyone did a fantastic job! Collaboration at its best!’
