This week at Heronswood Primary School, celebrations were running high for the 43 children who managed to achieve 100% attendance for the whole school year. The children, who were from Reception up to Year 6, joined Mrs Pierpoint and Miss Whelan for afternoon tea in the school hall.

To celebrate this fantastic achievement Mrs Pierpoint organised afternoon tea for everyone to share.  The children enjoyed cups of tea and squash along with a whole selection of cakes, biscuits and snacks.  The children were in high spirits as they tucked into all the tasty food that had been provided for them as they chatted and laughed with their friends.

Mrs Pierpoint, Head Teacher said, "We encourage all of our children to have very high attendance as this ensures they are in school to receive the education they deserve.  Our data shows that children with the highest attendance also achieve the highest results.  I am particularly proud of these 43 children, who have achieved 100% across the whole of this academic year.

As a school we appreciate the dedication and commitment these children and their parents have shown and wish to thank them for their continued support.  Fingers crossed for even more children with100% attendance again next year."
