On the evening of Tuesday 26th June, Heronswood Primary School Hall was once again transformed into a TV studio where children were given the opportunity to perform in the annual and much revered, ‘HERONSWOOD HAS TALENT!’ show.

Excitement had been building over the half term, where – in the first round- children in each class had performed for their friends.  Children in each class then had the agonising decision to choose three acts, to move on to the next round.

In a scintillating semi-final, children then auditioned in front of Mrs Pierpoint, Head Teacher.  She was utterly impressed with the amazing comedians, dancers, singers and musicians who performed from across the whole school – Pre-School to Year Six.

Twenty-eight acts earned a place in the prestigious final. The hall was bursting with proud parents, grandparents, siblings and friends who could not wait to see the amazing talents at Heronswood.

Once again, the audience were not disappointed! It was a thoroughly entertaining evening where the range of talent totally blew the audience away.

At the end of the show – the winners were decided by audience vote.   Massive congratulations to: third place Ben (Y2) and second place Jack (Y6)).  The audience awarded first place to Raymond (Y5) for his amazing street dancing skills.  Ethan from Y6, who compered the event said, ‘It was an amazing experience! I loved introducing the fantastic acts. I’m so proud to be part of Heronswood.’
