Nine girls, in Year 5 and Year 6, from Heronswood Primary School greatly enjoyed their day out, at an all-girls football festival at King Charles High School.

After arriving, the girls partook in a skills session where they were taught different activities and drills that helped to further develop their football skills. They all greatly enjoyed the session and worked very hard as a team.

Later that day, girls put the new-found skills into practice in a set of matches. All girls showed great sportsmanship toward the numerous schools that attended. The matches involved children passing, dribbling, shooting and getting into space.
Holly from 6BK said, "I loved learning new skills and greatly enjoyed the event".
All girls performed very well and were a real credit to the school. We all look forward to seeing them play more football later this year.
