On Thursday this week all of our Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 children came to school in their PE kits ready for sports day. We managed to complete all of the events and the races during the morning session and the weather was perfect not too hot and dry the whole time.
We were delighted by the turn out of parents, families and friends who supported their children during the events. The children had the opportunity to participate in a whole range of athletic activities including; discus, shot put, javelin, standing long jump, high jump, target throw and hurdles. During these events each child’s results were scored and at the end we were able to identify our Top Boy Athlete and Top Girl Athlete.
Top Boy Athlete – Key Stage 2 (3 boys had identical scores)

Throughout the morning, everybody entered into the spirit, took part in all events and had a great time. The morning finished with sprint races for all of the children who had made it through the initial heats and we are delighted to announce that the following children were awarded stickers or medals for their achievements in Celebration Assembly.
