On the evening of Tuesday 13th June 2107, Heronswood Primary School Hall was transformed into a live studio where children were given the opportunity to perform in, ‘HERONSWOOD HAS TALENT’.

Excitement had been building over the previous two weeks, where – in the first round - children in each class had performed for their friends.  Teachers then had the agonising decision to choose fours acts per class to move on to the next round.

In a nail-biting semi-final, children then auditioned in front of the school’s Senior Leaders.  They were impressed with the amazing comedians, magicians, dancers, singers, musicians and martial artists who performed from across the whole school – Pre-School to Year Six.

Twenty Five acts earned a place in the prestigious final. The hall was bursting with proud parents, grandparents, siblings and friends who couldn’t wait to see the hidden talents at Heronswood.  The audience were not disappointed! It was a thoroughly entertaining evening where the range of talent totally blew the audience away.

At the end of the show – the winners were decided by public vote.   Massive congratulations to: third place Clayton and Billy (Year 5) and joint second place to Adam (Pre-School) and Harrison (Year 3).

The public awarded first place to Tilly (Year 6) for her outstanding guitar skills.

Mrs Kingston, who compered the event said, “All of the children were amazing! The audience were mesmerised throughout the performances.  We are very proud of all the children.”
