The children at Heronswood Primary had a fabulous, fun day on Friday 13th April to help raise money for Comic Relief.

All the children came to school dressed in red and with their special red noses which they were allowed to wear throughout the day.  In assembly the whole school sang ‘Making Funny Faces’ which the children had time to learn during the day.

In addition five Year 3 children plotted against the teachers and TA’s and came to school with face paint, makeup, funny eyebrows, moustaches, coloured hairspray and hair bobbles ready to do a 60 second makeover on the staff.  The teachers then had to wear the make-up and their special hairdos for the whole day.  In total almost £300 was raised.  Well done everyone and thank you for your support.

Mrs Pierpoint, Head of School said, “It was fantastic to see so many staff willing to have their hair and make-up done by the children.  Everybody embraced the moment; all for the benefit of raising money for charity.”
