Mrs Mikolajczyk says: "We were waved off by some of the school last Tuesday, we then arrived at Bewdley Museum and met our guide Paul.

He was fantastic at explaining lots of interesting facts about World War II, like how zoos were evacuated, and we were allowed to handle some of the artifacts like gas masks and ration books. William and Megan even got to set off the sirens and be ARP Wardens! Then we experienced the underground Post Office air raid shelter, which even had electric in it. After that we were evacuated from Bewdley Station on a steam train and taken to Kidderminster, where we experienced a 1940s house and some different air raid shelters. The day was so engaging and gave us lots of real life experiences of what it would of been like for children in World War II. "
