The Spring term ended with a whole school celebration of the Year 3/4 Settlers and Invaders topic.  Over the course of the term we have developed our brand new forest school area and this provided the perfect venue for a living museum.

Dressed in their Celtic and Roman costumes, Year 3 and 4 children were on hand as tour guides to lead a range of activities: jewellery making, charcoal drawings, a quiz, shelter making and an archaeological dig.

Around the campfire, our visitors sampled delicious flatbreads with honey and dates whilst being entertained by stories, songs and a battle re-enactment.

The day was a huge success thanks to the hard work and enthusiasm of all the children and support of family and friends.  Every class from the school also had the opportunity to visit the Living Museum and they were given the same VIP treatment by the Year 3 and 4 children.
