The main role of the School Improvement Board (SIB) is to provide strategic leadership and accountability in schools. 


Our Head Teacher, Mrs Pierpoint is responsible for the day-to-day running of the school.  She is responsible for the internal organisation, management and control of the school and the implementation of the strategic framework established by the SIB. 

The role of the SIM Members is a strategic one, its key functions are to:

  • set the aims and objectives for the school
  • set the policies for achieving those aims and objectives
  • set the targets for achieving those aims and objectives
  • monitor and evaluate the progress the school is making towards achievement of its aims and objectives
  • be a source of challenge and support as a critical friend to the Head Teacher


All Governors provide their time on a voluntary basis.  They are expected to attend Local Governing Body meetings which are held once a term and in addition attend workshops and school visits on a regular basis.  Our Local Governing Body consists of the following individuals:
