Heronswood Primary School pupils took a stand against bullying last week to celebrate Anti-Bullying Week 2019.

During the week children met PCSO Palmer, who led an assembly with the children about this important issue.  “We celebrate this valuable week every year as it supports the ethos of our school. The children came to school wearing odd socks on Friday to show we are all unique and to celebrate our differences, they have also learnt about different types of bullying to watch out for, what to do if they are aware of it happening and ways to respect others and build positive relationships.” said Mrs Mikolajczyk (PSHE lead).

Also in the week children learnt how yoga can help their mental health, read stories highlighting how to build positive relationships and took part in a poster competition run by the Rivers Academy schools.
